Urban Potato

Urban Potato

About Us

Urban Potato was conceived by Brian and Danna as a site that could represent our various opinions on life, the universe and everything. It was written from scratch by Brian using ASP.Net and Visual Studio 7.0. Think of Urban Potato as a dumping ground for all the stuff in our heads that we don't need every day, but wouldn't mind keeping around.

Why Urban Potato? Why not? We live in the city, but we sure do spend a lot of time on the couch.

Disclaimer:

Urban Potato represents our own views and not the views of our employers, Gods, or the little demons that live inside our heads.

Brian

Brian wrote all of the server side code for this site and is also responsible for the style, formatting and layout. He tries to make it generic and work for any browser, but if it doesn't work for you, well, he probably won't fix it unless it is easy. Brian works for the Evil Empire (no, not AOL) in the development tools group. Currently he is working on a visual designer for WPF code named "Cider". When not writing designers, he enjoys photography, painting, cooking, surfing the web and exploring various bodily functions.

Danna

Danna also works at Microsoft as a product manager. Danna enjoys kicking Brian's ass at chess and chasing after the cat. She also has a somewhat unnatural obsession with yellow Formica.

Frankie

Frankie is a hairy narcoleptic cat. When awake, he does nothing but beg for food, eat Christmas ribbon and fight Danna for space in front of the fireplace. He has a somewhat unnatural obsession for dropping white hair everywhere, which is why we keep stock in several lint brush companies.

Sly

While Frankie may be the "Zoolander" of cats, Sly hangs with the late night Sally Struthers crowd. For a cat, that's bright. Sly is an affection whore, which usually means he's rubbing his nose in Danna's ear. And, unfortunately, his cat-box smelling tail in my nose. In fact, Sly's constant command of our attention has given him the nickname "The Gray Menace".
