January 3, 2003
We hosted a little gathering at our house for New Year's Eve. This worked out great because everyone could watch the fireworks that were launched from the Space Needle.
Preparing the Champagne
Danna sets up the Champagne glasses. Katie has discovered the box for the disco ball but is sad to see that it is empty.
There's the Ball
Katie finds the disco ball. All is right with the world.
Eric Likes Cheese
Eric enjoys a bit of fresh hot cheese.
The Opening of the Champagne
Eric and I do the honors of opening two magnums of Champagne.
Party People
All the party people. Glasses at the ready, midnight is only moments away.
Fireworks
2003 has arrived. Everyone watches the fireworks as they ignite the space needle.
2003 Party People
The same party people as before, but now in glorious 2003. Don't they look happier?
Who's got the Magnum?
Danna is hoarding the Champagne bottle. Danna, I don't think you will be able to finish it.
Party Poses I
After the fireworks we all posed. Or tried to.
Party Poses II
After the fireworks we all posed. Or tried to.
Party Poses III
After the fireworks we all posed. Or tried to.
Party Favors
Surprise! Jennifer tickles Grady with her party favor.
French Horn?
I'm not really sure what's going on here. Some sort of rivalry. It's not about the size of your horns, guys.
Stupid Human Tricks
Eric tries, unsuccessfully, to blow his own horn.
Pizza Time
Danna thinks she is sober enough to cook a pizza. She's half right. Cooking it was no problem. Getting it out of the oven and cutting it was another matter.
Dead Soldier
Katie picks up the dead shot glass from the floor.
Hiding Todd
Todd, is that your shot glass?
Uncle Todd
Uncle Todd patiently waits for the pizza to be cut. Don't underestimate him, however; he's quick.
Pizza Time
Finally, the pizza cutting is complete. Katie hands the pizza out with a smile.
Smilin' Mike
Mike strikes a pose.
Meet Grady
Grady, putting his best foot forward.
Christmas Jennifer
Jennifer looks like she's ready for Christmas, not New Years.
